To reach the Symposium venue: Symposium building is situated near the tram station “Družba”, tram line No. 4, direction “Košutka“. By car from city center direction Karlovy Vary. The map of city Pilsen will be sent to the registered participants by e-mail.
 
SYMPOSIUM LANGUAGE
Symposium language will be English. No simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

REGISTRATION
The completed Registration Form should be sent by mail or by fax to the address of the Symposium secretariat.
On-line electronic registration is also available.
Inscription of your credit card data through the internet is SSL certified. To qualify for the discounted early registration fee, a completed Registration Form (including payment) must be received by April 30, 2004 by the Symposium secretariat. A Registration Form received without appropriate remittance will not be accepted as an early registration. Registration is only valid after receipt of the registration fee. Confirmation of your registration will be sent upon receipt your Registration Form.
 
PAYMENT
Payment in EUR should be made in one of these ways:
  • By bank draft, specifying the name of the sender, to the account of Conference Partners Prague,

  • By credit card (VISA, Eurocard/Mastercard), providing the necessary information indicated in the appropriated spaces on the Registration, Accommodation and Tours Form.
If money is transferred by bank draft, a copy of the money order must be attached to the Registration Form. Please note that the registrant must take care of all bank charges for the bank draft.
 
CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION AND REFUNDS
Any cancellation must be notified in writing to the Symposium secretariat. The registration fee will be refunded after the deduction of 35 % if participation is cancelled prior to May 31, 2004. No refund will be possible after this date but complete documentation will be sent to the address of the delegate.
 
CLIMATE AND DRESS CODE
Czech Republic enjoys a pleasant climate, with average temperatures in July of 25 °Celsius. As an occasional rain shower is not unusual, we recommend you to bring a light coat and umbrella. Business casual dress will be suitable for all Symposium activities.

BUS TRANSPORT TO AND FROM PILSEN
Pilsen is situated 90 km south-west from Prague, reachable by train or bus from Prague. Pilsen is also reachable directly from the Germany by train, bus or car.

Bus transport from Prague to Pilsen and back will be organized by the Symposium secretariat. Complete kindly the appropriate paragraph in the Tours Form.

City transport in Pilsen
Pilsen has a comprehensive network of City transportation consisting of trams and buses. Single tickets can be purchased at most newspaper stands. In trams and buses, tickets must be marked at the entrance.
 
PRAGUE
Transport to Prague
By Plane – Prague Ruzyně Airport, located 15 km from the City, is served by many international lines. The cost of a taxi from Ruzyně Airport to the City is at present about EUR 20–25. Shuttle bus service operates as well. City bus No. 119 will take you from the airport to the metro line “A” terminal.

By Train and by Car – Prague is easily reached by rail as well as by car. If you arrive by train, you will find a metro station (line “C”) at the Central Railway Station or at the Holešovice Railway Station.

City Transportation – Prague has a comprehensive network of City transportation consisting of metro, trams and buses. Single tickets can be purchased at most newspaper stands and the coin machines at metro stations. In metro, trams and buses, tickets must be marked at the entrance.

Car Rental – Most of the major car rental companies (Hertz etc.) have their offices in Prague. Detailed information is available at the Symposium secretariat.We strictly recommend making reservations in advance.
 
FLIGHT TICKETS
According to the place of your departure, we are in the condition to offer you flight tickets of Czech Airlines for special participant prices. Further information is available at the Symposium secretariat.
 
OFFICIAL LETTER OF INVITATION
An official letter of invitation can be sent upon request. It must be understood that such a letter cannot grant any financial support.
 
VISAS
Participants from most European countries and the USA can enter the Czech Republic without a visa. Other participants are advised to check requirements at the nearest Embassy or Consulate of the Czech Republic and to make their own arrangements. INSURANCE
The Organizing Committee will not accept any liability for personal injuries or loss or damage of property belonging to Symposium participants and accompanying persons. Kindly check your personal insurance.
 
ELECTRICITY
In the Czech Republic, the electricity supply is 220 V, 50 Hz.
